Miniature Brushes

Miniature brushes are small brush tools that remove burrs, clean and prepare surfaces, and improve surface finish. They are designed especially for tight spaces and hard-to-reach areas. BRM supplies many different types of miniature brushes. There are three major categories: miniature cross-hole deburring brushes and pin vises; miniature cup, wheel, and end brushes; and miniature mandrel-mounted brushes. In addition to brush category, filament or bristle material is also important to consider. Abrasive nylon filaments reduce burrs, clean threads, and improve surface finish. Stainless steel filaments remove chips and breakout burrs from cast iron and steel. Diamond abrasive is recommended for finishing, polishing, and deburring ceramic, glass, alloys, and tool steels.

Miniature cross-hole deburring brushes improve part quality and consistency. These small deburring tools are also ideal for micro burr removal, internal cleaning, and removing minor surface imperfections. Choose Series 81-AY brush tools for thru holes, series 81-A mini brushes for cross-hole deburring, or pin vises.

Miniature cup brushes have a flared design and are available with different bristle materials to meet a range of finishing requirements. These small cup brushes also come in different shank sizes. Like miniature wheel and miniature end brushes, mini cup brushes are used in Dremel-type tools.
The miniature wheel and end brushes that BRM supplies are ideal for cleaning, deburring, and surface finishing in tight spaces, including recessed areas. They are available with filaments made of metal or natural materials to provide different degrees of aggressiveness.

Miniature mandrel-mounted brushes are used with Dremel-type tools for cleaning, burr removal, and surface finishing. The brush face can be either single or double thickness to meet a range of application requirements. Mini mandrel-mounted brushes are available in a variety of shank sizes, filament types, and diameters as well.
